Under general supervision, maintains, diagnoses and repairs a variety of equipment including; diesel engines, transmissions, drive train components, winches, high pressure pumps, centrifugal pumps, sand conveyor systems, air compressors, micro processor controls, electro-mechanical equipment, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, mobile/overhead cranes, wellhead attachments and pressure equipment, gearboxes, PTO's, generators, chemical metering systems, 12/24v electrical systems, equipment cabs and controls, chassis and suspension, rims, tires and wheels, forklifts, A/C systems, and a variety of other energy services equipment.

Responsible for ensuring duties are performed in a safe, efficient, and effective manner.

Perform preventive/predictive maintenance procedures on Halliburton equipment.

Performs inspections required by the company, and government entities.

Perform basic troubleshooting on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Performs own work and provides assistance to others as directed. Job tasks, correctly performed, impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability or operations.

Consequences of error are easily measured and can be confined.

Minimum skills may be acquired through technical school or equivalent related experience.

 

Onshore position within the Mobile Equipment group with ADHOC offshore as required

Promote safety awareness and environmental consciousness

Perform routine preventive maintenance on all Halliburton equipment

Perform unscheduled breakdown maintenance on all Halliburton equipment including fault finding, diagnosing and rectifying mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic control systems

Documenting and maintaining records of all work and activities

Interpret assembly & Schematic drawings

Good interpersonal and communication skills

Able to plan, prioritize and manage workloads effectively

Halliburton fluid ends ranging from 6250 to 20000psi

Halliburton, Deming, Mission, Godwin centrifugal pumps

 

Coil Tubing Power Pack, Injectors, Tubing Guides, Reels and operator cabins

Interpret assembly & Schematic drawings

Carry out Installation, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of mechanical equipment

Qualifications and training

Minimum Requirements

Hydraulic systems

Driving License

Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship – (Equivalent SVQ Level 3 Mechanical)

Must be computer literate

 

Preferable but not essential – Training will be given
