Manager – Real Estate Projects

 

JOB SUMMARY:

 

  • The Regional Project Managers role is to plan and manage the construction of Halliburton Fluids Plants including design, construction, renovation, or replacement of plant equipment and associated site infrastructure and facilities.
  • Supervises 1 to 5 direct supervised employees and 20 plus subcontract companies (varies by project)
  • Coordinates diverse activities within a functional area of Europe and Africa.
  • Plans work and administers policies. Job role has budgetary type of accountabilities or directly impacts a revenue centre’s viability or its quality of service via personal contributions.
  • Job role contributes directly to value creation.
  • Skills are typically acquired through completion of an undergraduate degree in Architecture or Engineering, and 5 years of experience in project management which includes experience in plant construction or remodelling and management experience.

 

Further responsibilities include.

  • Responsible for Design and Construction to follow Halliburton’s processes and passing internal and external audits.
  • Determines, in consultation with Real Estate Services and business unit management, the definition and requirements for each assigned project -- including location, desired results, desired completion date, allowable cost parameters, funding sources, RES and business unit interfaces, special environmental or regulatory considerations, and all other information required to create a complete and comprehensive project plan that when executed will meet the defined requirements.
  • Prepares and seeks appropriate management approvals of project plan including work specification, schedule and budget.
  • Administers subcontracts to achieve results in accordance with project plan and all consultants and contractors.
  • Manages project compliance with applicable building and fire codes, other applicable laws and regulations, and company Health, Safety, and Environment policy.
  • Advises contractors and subcontractors of company safety policies and procedures. Ensures that all parts of the project work force -- including contractors, their employees, subcontractors and their employees – follow company safety policies and procedures on the project.
  • Manages the review and approval of contractor invoices.
  • Accurately forecast project cash flow expenditure
  • Manages the capitalization of completed project funding.

 

Qualification:

 

  • Engineering degree preferred - Skills are typically acquired through completion of an undergraduate degree in Architecture or Engineering, and 5 years of experience in project management which includes experience in facility construction or remodeling and management experience.

 

 

Essential Experience

 

  • Fully versed in Microsoft Office suite of programs
  • Schedule management using Microsoft Project
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels

 

Desirable Experience

 

  • Work experience in Europe and Sub-Saharan Africa
  • Ability to review and markup drawings using AutoCAD
  • Design and installation of industrial plants
  • Experience of financial project management using SAP
